Four Categories. One Unified System.
Bookable, Assignable, Consumable, Amenity: every facility type has a distinct operational model. WitSpace handles all four in a single platform with consistent entitlement enforcement.
Four distinct operational models
Each category has its own lifecycle, booking rules, and admin workflows. The category is defined at the facility type level, and all facilities of that type inherit the behavior.
Bookable
Time-slotted reservations
Meeting rooms, hot desks, day offices, and any resource that can be reserved for a specific time window. Supports hourly, daily, monthly, and annual booking types with real-time conflict detection.
Examples
Assignable
Long-term exclusive allocation
Dedicated desks, private offices, and any resource assigned to a specific member or organization for an extended period. Assignments have a start date, optional end date, and a full lifecycle status.
Examples
Consumable
Quantity-based consumption tracking
Printing credits, scan quotas, coffee tokens, and any resource consumed in units. Admins record usage from the Admin App. Each usage deducts from the member's membership entitlement or credit balance.
Examples
Amenity
Access-only, no booking required
Shared amenities that members can access freely, such as a kitchen, bike storage, showers, or a rooftop terrace. No booking, no assignment, no usage tracking. Visibility only, shown on the branch detail page.
Examples
From configuration to live bookings
Setting up a branch takes minutes. Types define the rules once, and all facilities of that type inherit them automatically.
Create Facility Types
Admin defines facility types (e.g., 'Hot Desk', 'Meeting Room', 'Color Printer') and assigns each to one of the four categories. Types carry the behavioral rules for all facilities of that kind.
Add Facilities
For each type, admin creates the physical facility instances, adding name, capacity, floor, dimensions, price, and photos. Each facility is a real, bookable resource in the branch.
Assign to Plans
Facility types are referenced in membership plan entitlements. This connects the physical resource to the commercial access model, controlling who can book what, and at what cost.
Full facility lifecycle management
Custom Facility Types
Define named facility types per branch: 'Executive Meeting Room', 'Standing Desk', 'Color Printer'. Each type belongs to one of the four categories and inherits its lifecycle rules.
Booking Rules per Type
Set minimum and maximum booking durations, advance booking windows, and cancellation policies at the facility type level. Rules apply to all facilities of that type automatically.
Rich Facility Profiles
Each facility has a name, description, floor number, room dimensions, capacity, pricing per booking type, and a photo gallery. Members see all details before booking.
Status Management
Facilities have operational statuses: Active, Inactive, or Under Maintenance. Changing status instantly removes the facility from the booking calendar without deleting any history.
Multi-branch Replication
Facility type structures can be mirrored across branches under the same entity. Operators setting up a second location don't need to rebuild the type library from scratch.
Plan Entitlement Integration
Every facility type can be included in a membership plan with its own access mode. The entitlement engine enforces rules at the facility-type level on every action.
